  Clio 172 mk2
Good cars but the more I see them the more ugly they look.

Different league in terms of running costs as well...very, very expensive.

Go for it if you can afford it

  cock mobile.
VI TME for me; but I couldn't afford to run that to work everyday.

If you can fair play, do it!! I very much doubt you'd regret it!

my old man had a evo 6, serviced every 4500 miles or six months.

he went through 2 clutches in a year both costing 700 quid each time.

there bloody lovely but very expensive to run

  172 Cup
A lad I work with said he had a mate who who had an evo 8, not sure which model and it cost him about £1 a mile to run... I dunno how true this is.

I don't think a standard Evo 8 will cost £1 a mile to run ..
think your mate's Evo 8 must be a highly mod one ..
and I will only use it 2-3 days a week, probably 70-100 miles/w ..
= about 4000-5000 miles a year .. so only one service each year ...

oh .. coz I'm going to sell my 172 soon ..
but how much I'm looking for?
02 reg 172 with 42,000 miles
16" rota light alloys
apex -40mm springs
k-tec stealth exhaust system

around £5.5k??

  Liquid Yellow 182
oil change every 3000 miles, full service every 6000, i came from an evo 4 at 350 bhp to the 182, and in all honestly i would say i prefer the clio 182 a lot more. evos are just money pits

  e60 M5 -172- dciheid
^^ surely it was great for a while despite the cashflow equation?

giving an evo full beans and the banter with the turbo etc :approve:
