New hardware looks much better. If it functions well then I may remove and paint black.
Happy enough for now though.

I've been cleaning some bits on the car in the sun this morning. Weather was too nice to miss. The engine bay still looks smart and it's been back on the road almost a year now.
Couple of extra snaps of the exhaust shroud too.

I'd leave the exhaust as it is now - it blends with the system - wouldn't paint just come off if you painted it?

Id obviously only paint the shroud, not the actual exhaust. I'd use VHT which is rated at 400c.

See how we go, but looks alright as it is. As long as it copes with. Heavy ALS use it should be fine. :)

Here goes,

Firstly I really have no idea where to begin with talking about selling my car.
I've owned her for the last 8 years of which in that time I've poured my heart and soul into it.
I've reached a time in my life where I want a new direction. I'm a huge car enthusiast and would like a change, maybe even sit on the sideline for a bit?

I have absolutely no reason to sell so am in no rush whatsoever, I may even decide to keep her if nobody offers me a fair price.

No expense spared meticulous build, and built as a package to be a monster, S7 WRC inspired road car, she has her carpets and air conditioning.
She has been fully documented throughout her life and has many custom parts and details. I've put way over £60K into this car and literally thousands of man hours.

Her life is documented here:
http://bbs.scoobynet.com/projects-4...-edition-v7-sti-the-t26-wrc-build-thread.html

This car has been maintained regardless of cost and wants for absolutely nothing.

Just love it the way I have/do.

If you're wondering, she sounds like this.

Frayz-Engineering STI Anti-Lag Test - YouTube
Frayz-Engineering 576bhp Prodrive Edition Sti - YouTube

I have literally thousands of photos of his car throughout her life with me and can supply further information to any genuine enquiry.

As said, I do not need to sell her and at the moment purely testing the water if I get the right offer or not. Spares and registration not included in sale but are open to negotiation.

No tyre kickers
No test pilots

This car is truly unique, there is not another built quite like it. To me it's absolutely priceless and has taken a huge part of my life.
Must be seen to be appreciated and any inspection is welcome.

Still don't actually know if I can watch it drive away but will be listening to offers over £25,000
May be interested in a possible PX for MK1-2 escort, Cosworth or something interesting.

Thank you for reading.

25,000? Over priced. I'll give you 8k for it.

lol just kidding, it's worth every penny. One of the nicest scoobs I've ever seen. You're mental to let it go though

Lol, that's offers over £25K lads. At any price I'm gonna have to have the keys prised from my hands.

Ive put everything into this car, but I need to see if its time to move on. :)

A build of this level would require something breathtaking to take it's place.

Well it's cheap to buy as it is dude, over the 8 years we've been together I've put way over £60 grand into it.

Beauty part is I don't need to sell, so we will see what comes along.

You don't need to write off the UK debt. Just make me a good offer over £25 grand and ill consider it. :)

£60k :hail:

Unless there is EXTREME circumstances that have changed, I'd keep it.

Epic... But £25k? So £10k wouldn't tempt you? Ease the pain etc? Lol

I'm a bit out of touch with imprezas but f**k that's a lot of money. I regretted spending £900 on my blob eye ;)

Guys,

Go build a car to these levels and see what it costs you.

Untill you've done it, you won't understand how much it costs to get there.

I can imagine! Every last thing costs a bomb.

You spent £60,000 on an Impreza!?

Christ on a bike!

Awesome car btw.

Lol,

There will always be people out there that "know better" and think a car isn't worth it's price. That's fine, that's their opinion and they're entitled to it.
However there are also people that do see value in something and are willing to pay accordingly. Interestingly, I've not had one person on any of the Impreza forums say its not worth what I'm asking. More than likely because these guys own these cars and know what it's takes and costs to build something like this. So to the people who think I'm asking too much, don't worry... You're not likely to buy it anyway.
And to everyone else, please come and view it, up her spec sheet and make an offer on a bargain price for a built package.

Example:
Clutch £1500
Turbo £1000
Intercooler £1200 (in stock form)
Syvecs management £2000

So there we have over £5000 on 4 items, lol.

If I'd have known all of these guys that can build these packages for next to nothing, I could have let them do it and saved myself a fortune. ;)

This isn't a Clio and is not priced as such.

Cheers,

Frayz

£25k good luck with the sale im sure someone is willing to pay that.. They will get one hell of a car!

  Nimbus Megane R26
25K? nice of a car as it is..i think you'll struggle asking for over £20k..but what do i know.. i would love to eat humble pie.

Lovely car, if i had the money i would make you an offer ASAP. Swap you for an R26 and my girlfriend? pics will be provided upon handshake. I have watched this thread from day one, will own a subaru one day and that thing just sounds fecking evil! :)

60k..hero.

I think people are missing the point... Yes, you can buy a Scooby cheaper. But it won't have anything done to it like this car's spec. It's only going to have a small market at that price but if you were to buy a standard one and mod it to this spec it's going to cost you a s**t load more than 25k. If you want a Scooby with this kinda spec it makes more sense to buy this.
Good luck with the sale dude, as i say you've got a small market and might struggle for a while - but it's a stunning example.
