The roster of cars on GT5 while a lot greater in number was made up of a lot of s**t, cars you'd never really use unless you needed to satisfy requirements for a certain event or were copy and paste facelift or model year variants of the same car. I would say that Forza is missing open wheelers and a handful of iconic cars from the line-up though but I'd sooner have 700 great cars all of which I'd want to have in my garage than 1200 which I only had interest in 40% of.

Agree with that but it's all subjective. One mans Porsche 928 could be another's Clio Williams. Difficult putting in cars that so many won't touch yet a handful are crying out for.
I'd love to see a 182, Williams or a P1 Impreza but its just not going to happen now. Nissan GTR with 9000bhp though? Yeah we'll see 14 of those...

Hunt's Mclaren, Laudas Ferrari, Stewarts Tyrrel, Lotus 49, JPS Lotus 72 and an MP4-4 would be nice for starters.
BTW night/dynamic time of day is out as is weather along with the storefront apparently. All cars will be auto vista quality so I'm expecting a huge reduction in the number of cars.

Do you mean by that day cycles and weather both aren't in the game? Weren't a lot of folk pining for those, dynamic weather especially?
Yeah, there'll definitely be a HUGE number of cars ditched.
Both confirmed NOT in the game apparently via twitter by Dan G. I can't say I'm shocked tbh, nor will I be if we only get 200 cars, especially given how vague they were at the announce simply saying hundreds rather than 4/5/6 hundred plus cars.
In all honesty I'm still not convicted I'll bother with the Xbox this time around so I'm not too bothered at the moment.

I don't see how night races are so much of a problem, adding a few light sources shouldn't really cripple it. I've a small feeling that this will become a bit of a show case though, instead of the Forza we're used to.

As cool as it looks I would only be buying the Xbox for this game. Otherwise it's the PS4 all day long. Considering the price I might not bother

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I've just read about "Day One" editions for Forza amoungst other games.
