I've done it before using the smart glass app, but you need to hold record which is stupid?

Should be like a camera press once to start and again to stop

The xbox has an inbuilt dvr mate. You should see it if you look at the apps. Also you want the upload studio app on xbox too. Upload it to the xbox one drive which you can have an app for on your phone. Download the video to the phone and then upload to youtube using youtube app. Really easy to do and providing you have reasonable internet wont take long.

If you have kinect you can say xbox record that or something but I don't so it either automatically records a short clip if I have a jump or I have to manually bring up the snap bar by double pressing the xbox home button on controller.
