Flux Insurance WTF?

  '02 Monaco Blue 172
Just got a quote from Adrian Flux, i'm 30 this year, 3 years NCB, 0 points, never made a claim, clean license, member of CS and live in a good area, a 2002 172 valued at 3500, wait for it.... £1146.19, are they having a laugh?

best I can get is an elephant renewal for £470, this still seems high though, anyone any recommendations?

Adrian Flux = Jokers (Steer clear)

But even at £470 that seems alot, i pay similar and i'm 28 7ync on my Ph1 with all mods declared.

Try Tesco mate... (Get a £40 voucher plus when you take out the insurance plus receive Clubcard vouchers thoughout the year too - 4 x the value for certain purchases).

£470 isn't bad tbh. I'm 33 with 7 years protected ncb and breakdown cover and pay £450 with Adrian Flux (they were the cheapest).
A lot depends on your post code and unfortunately even though my area is nice and in the middle of know where i still have a s**t post code. Much like most of west yorkshire tbh.

Adrian Flux are jokers. My first car was insured through them. Police done a check and it was insured as a Red Escort (it was a blue 106 xsi!) even though the dvla check came back fine... they said my insurance company must of made a mistake... luckily i had my ins cert on me!

Any insurance company could do that though. plus you would only have got a producer if you didn't have your certificate on you.

Just got my renewal through for £370 from greenlight, phoned around but only Brentacre came close and weren't able to beat my renewal.

  53 Clio's & counting
My traders policy is a tad more than i was paying on my 172, but thats ok with me.

£470 is a bit steep i think though, i was playing £360 and im 2 years younger than you

Just tried Sky and they couldn't beat my elephant renewal, will give brentacre a ring and if no joy looks like i'll be giving my money to elephant again!

id ring flux again tbh, something blatently wrong there?! im 25 and paying £427 with all mods and on a like-for-like replacement basis on the PH1

flux are awesome. never ever beaten for me. I think they are cheaper for under 25s

edit: oh.....and I left out the fact that I was a CS member when insuring my 172. Maybe we are prone to crashing 172s!

Forgot to add i have my Mrs on the policy as a named driver also and she has 3 points and 1 accident and i have 3 points.
Plus certain mods increase the premium more than others, wheels and exhaust don't really up the premium too much but engine mods do imo.
