Fitting Gear knob on new clio

Right, Ive tryed hack sawing the orginal off, got some of the rubber off it but have come to a white plastic bit. Do i just take the rest of the rubber off, or saw the white plastic bit off?

Please help my gear knob is half on/off at the moment. lol.

cut the plastic bit off so youre left with just a metal pole

yer get down to the metal pole, chuck everything else!

Just lake sure you get a good grub screw to tighten the new gear knob on

get mole grips...twist...5 seconds later...cut the leather off...then mole grips again..its off

i swear i had the knob off in 30seconds no lie

MOLE GRIPS, SELECT 4TH GEAR SIT IN THE BACK AND MOVE SLOWLY LEFT AND RIGHT AND UP

i swear on my life a couple twists with mole grips to loosen the leather...then cut that away with a knife.

then get a really tight grip on the plastic part and then a few more pulls and that bad boy will be right off!
