Fabricated race side exit exhaust

I've got stainless pipe lying around and have a few workmates handy with a tig welder, just wondered has anybody done it on a phase 1? Its pretty much going to be a track car anyway, will put it straight out the passenger wing as an option, just whatevers most straightforward to make up? Cheers.

^ I take it that's got a flat floor too? If it's running a diffuser that big it's understandable, but if you're not doing something as severe as that underbody aero there is absolutely no point.

be careful, as mentioned if you don't silence it well then it'll fail most dB limits on most open track days. used to be a few mk1 clios with naturally aspirated engines and side exits, they were loud as hell

I have one on my mk 1 but its turbo'd and had 2 boxes in it, was great as no rattles over the rear beam/clearance issues but was still pretty loud, just squeaked in at 103dB iirc and caused issue on some tracks with lower limits

to put it in perpective, I now have a 2 box full system with stealth exit on the rear (bit like a phase 1 172 system) and that's now 88dB static
