Running out of room on the drive, fortunately I’m expanding drive way in the new year....

Getting them whilst I can, looking for a type r next and I reckon I’m done after that.

Lost my job mid year so it was touch and go if I would be able to keep the cars, fortunately everything worked out.

Not everyone’s cuppa I know but I’m stoked.

And the M5 which is still by far my pride and joy.

The flamer is timeless for me, I'd be having that an the M5 if I could only have the 2.

The phase 1s just kind of happened really.
Spent a lot of £££ refreshing every single suspension component on the flamer plus a major cambelt service. It’s now used daily and it feels (not looks) like driving a new car. The other two are so good I doubt very much I would let them go for a long long time as I would never find another example as good as these to replace them with. I get a kick out of the hot hatches of this generation, nostalgia I guess. Hence a type r next as it was a great car when I had one.

I also have a thing for hot hatches from the 2000s. My driveway is currently the phase 1, EP3 and MPS

I read your thread when you picked up the EP3, good result.

Prices wth these are all over the place, so many comprises to be had, low miles doesn’t mean good condition. I’m also tempted to find a high mile example that’s been mechanically looked after.

The gearbox in these is one if not the best I have used. That mated with a engine you can ring it’s neck off he just magical. This setup no longer exists in modern day hot hatches.

I'm glad someone else agrees! I test drove an EP3 from Honda when they were currently available from the showroom. Apart from the great seating position, the one memory I hold in high regard was with that gearbox and gearchange. A superb piece of engineering - and like you said, pretty much absent from any new hot hatch these days.

Aye agree with the EP3 box as well, got mine with less than 20k on the clock and 5 years and 80k miles later the box was still as solid as the day I bought it.

You either need a plot of land with a garage or a bigger house.lol
Nice little collection.

this would 100% be me if we had more land.

I keep looking at houses with more land, but to move just for more parking space and a garden big enough to justify a sit on mower seems wrong. Especially when our kids are grown up and will probably be moving out in the next few years.

As above I'd keep the M5 plus the Sunflower and probably add a 205 Gti. Maybe also a cheap track car.

@Ant1 how many miles have you done in the M5 since you got it. Is it still up for sale?

Just crossed 52k but it’s never been up for sale in my ownership.

What's the M5 like in running costs? It's been added to my shortlist for next year...

Ain’t cheap. £50 per month tax, £120 per month for warranty, £3-£500 per year servicing. 1 out 3 service is £1200.

Fuel is shocking, if you don’t mind the costs, do it!

Great selection of cars there, you'll have to get more photos all around and inside the mini ?

I've had 2 EP3's, one 30th Anni edition in red and one facelift in cosmic grey, agreed they are great cars but I wouldn't want another one...…… my car heart will forever be with my old Escort (and Fiesta!) RS Turbo's

Great collection! All bar the Mini will be appreciating any way. Nice EP3’s, especially the premier editions are getting hard to come by!

Give the mini a couple of years, might be surprised.

Your right on the EP3, balls ache trying to find one.

I had a brilliant EP3 Premier. Nighthawk black, 80k, pristine condition for age/mileage. Paid 3.5k for it, got nicked after 3 months and I got 5 back off the insurance. Would be worth maybe 6 now with the mileage I’d done. P*ssed off aint the word.

For what its worth I loved the car. Banged a cheap k&n induction for £90 and the crossover was stupidly addictive. Would happily own another.

Yeah I had that as well on mine @RDH was the K&N Typhoon wasn't it? Sounded awesome!
One and only mod I did. Great car out the box. Only let down is you need to wring it’s neck to enjoy the engine. By which time your doing over the speed limit.
