Engine Revs problem

Hi

i was travelling to work this morning i put my foot down in 3rd or second and the revs died down and picked back up and down again and then normal.

I could tell because noise from the indcution kit.

my clio is 1.2 mk2 ph1 with about 81k miles on the clock.

any ideas ?

Not sure if its the same prob as mine but one week before my O2 sensor went mine did the same thing, only did it once then was ok (for a week) then the sensor went and it wouldnt run at all. The problem with the O2 sensors are they either work or stop working, no in-between.

What is a O2 sensor what do they do ?

they measure O2 (oyxgen) and fuel, usually there are a couple of them, one before the cat and one after. the one after wont effect the running at all but the one before (or it may well be another one somewhere else??) controls the mixture (O2 + fuel)
Something on them lines anyway.

hi found out tonight it was the clutch it finally went had problems trying to get up a hill loads of revs no power till and slowed down.
