Elvington Trackday - Mixed cars on track......

Had a day at Elvington today and now some members were there playing in their Clios......
I was in the Impreza and didn't get much of a chance to talk to everyone as had my family there getting passenger rides. Did get to talk to some people and hope to see them again at the next Elvington day.

Then the rain came and I enjoyed it even more haha:

The new setup on the Impreza worked a treat and didn't destroy the AD08r's on the surface as everyone had predicted haha

Best trackday have ever done - car was so much better on track than the previous Focus ST I used for trackdays.

Been going through some of the videos and here is 2 of them - 1 is superb quality from my GoPro fitted to the front bumper and the other is a jumpy vid someone did from the side of the track.

Is that the Impreza with the home made exhaust baffle/silencer that lasted about 10 yards? that did make me LOL. Not sure why they asked you do it, when clearly that Atom sounded like it was about to rip the earth in two.
You all deserve a medal for running at Elvo' either that, or a free set of tyres!

Yeah that's my Impreza - the homemade baffle was an attempt to try and be allowed full boost. The Atom was really loud but apparently just under the driveby limit where as mine was ok until full boost. Never mind was a great day. Only scrubbed off 2-3mm off the AD08 tyres in 110 miles around Elvington. No more used than at Croft for me but think some of the FWD were using more.

Already booked back up for May at Elvington. Bought a proper baffle (Decibel Slayer) so hoping that helps out as was 2-3dB over.

Yeah that's the boosted 172 - lads name is Thomas Thorp. Was a cracking little motor and he was a sound lad.

Yer that was me good to meet you all. Car should be going up to Andy at Clioturbo this week, to get the studs holding the manifold on replaced as one snapped. Should also be at the trackday end of May
