EErrrrrggghhhhhh!!!!

damn cluth cable went after picking up my girlfriend from the station, was strandad in the middle of nowhere. had to call pops to give me a tow to the nearest garage. went to renualt to get the parts and they said that i should buy both the pedal and the cable because the 16v clios had a pedal problem where the angel forced the cable to break quite often.

so hopefully i should get the car back tomrow and then down to BB to sort this knocking noise when cornering roundabouts.

Same thing happened to me last month! effin p1sser - i got told that by renault, but got it done by a independant Renault specialist and he said he hasnt heard of changing the pedal, unless it was on the earlier models of the 16V, and renault modified the pedal for the later phase 2s...

i got the car back today with a new cluth pedal unfortunetly on the way home i relised that i found it very hard to put the slecter into gear, due to the bitting point of the car being right at the bottom and i mean at the end of the cluth pedal. rang the guy up and he said that i should bring the car in tomrow, is it to do with the self adjusting cluth pedal, does it need to be adjusted because of the new cable.

pis it easy to adjust the cable yourself, anyways any help will be again useful.

cheers

for those who are fitting a clutch cable !! dont get a motaquip one as they dont fit as if found out !!!after 3 attempts !!

i got mine done about 2 mths ago still isnt right, i think the adjuster on the pedal is worn and not adjusting properly, its supposed to adjust itself

its sometimes ok, sometimes its a bstard to get in gear and the biting point changes daily, it might be worth getting a new adjuster they cant cost that much im going to get one when i get round to it
