First of all apologies, there's s**t loads of photos and none that are great!

So today being the first day I've been sober in while and being lucky enough to still be off I set off to the unit armed with a delivery from Sam's detailing and my new camera as I wanted a bit of practice with it, as you can see I need plenty more!

Car was in a general winter filthy state, being white it looks s**t real quick in these months.

First up, wheels cleaned, this stuff is great as it's a fair bit fair thicker in consistency so clings and doesn't seem to dry out quickly so it can be left to dwell. Firstly agitated with a brush and finished of some wheel woolies. Wheel woolies are bloody brilliant!

Then I attacked the paintwork with the pressure washer, didn't touch it as expected, still wondering which moron closed the boot by hand.

Then straight on with the fun part, I always pick snow foam over a pre wash purely because I'm a child.

For belt and braces sake, I rinsed the snow foam off as usual then gave it another hit for the wash method. As usual two bucket method

The stage it so desperately needed, a thorough decontamination, starting with fallout. The car has always felt rough to the touch and you could always see the paint was never quite clean!

Safe to say it need it then!! Tar remover I did a double hit with the same as the fallout remover.

All rinsed off thoroughly, dried and checked to see if it need any more hits...

Usually I wouldn't be using a clay mitt as they're a bit more damaging than a bar no matter how careful you think you're being but I knew the car was bad and I didn't have the time to be f**king about being precious with a bar. It did the job, well and quickly though it seemed a lot more sensitive to remnants of the tar remover that I'd failed to rinse properly.

Finally! The paint feels smooth as f**k as some of that depth I knew it had was on show, bit hard to pick up on a shitty overcast day but it was a massive difference, especially the boot lid that always seemed to have a rough yellowy tint where it'd never been deacon's before.

Again knowing time would be an issue I went to a go to product and pad. The car will be revisited in better weather for some actual correction (lets face it, it's white you won't be seeing f**k all difference in winter) I just wanted to get any slight marks out from claying, though to be fair I didn't spot any, and f**k the dead paint off. This stuff is amazing, low dust, next to f**k all sling and life on the pad is fantastic.

Now for protection it had to be something easy and durable I could easily top up In the upcoming shitty months, this stuff is just like hydro2, spray on and pressure wash off but I think it leaves a bit more shine as well as laster longing. Cheaper too!

Prepare yourself, f**k tonnes of beading shots. f**k, I love a bit of beading!

Body of the car was dried off using the new towel with no drying aid then the wheels were doused in detailer and dried off using an older towel.

Then the tyres dressed with this stuff, smells f**king amazing but other than nothing more stand out than anything else I've used, it's longevity is ok but not amazing.

Do you rate the "Sam's detailing" products? I've never heard of them, but I've not looked deep into detailing products.

Car has come up nice though. Miles different than before.

"Weapons grade" car! I absolutely love the big AMGs.
Great job fella, even in the crap light you can see a significant difference in finish :)

Cheers mate, glad the difference can be seen, I’m now ill after spending all day with hands in cold buckets of water 🤣

Top job, as ever. Need to get down the unit for a weekend of beer, chuckles and sort the S6 in the summer. It’s got buffer trails where some garage womble has clearly got overexcited.

No fighting though! X

It’s a date!

I've not long fitted a hot tap outside for this very reason. I have to say i've been gloating to myself all winter about it. Haha,
Wrap up warm chap, and get yourself some SealSkins gloves. They're warm wool and waterproof :)
