airbox was like that when I got the car, seems fine. Needs than new air filter in the boot sticking in.
It's already on PE2s (one of which is a month old) and they are by far the best road tyres you can have on it IMO. Also, i don't think it'll respond well to lowering springs, Coilovers or there isn't any point IMO.

all tyres are illegal beleive it or not bar the new one on the inside of the tyres, the tracking is out and one rear shock is leaking
so that will be the cause of that
ive had it on the ramps all day today an did pre mot inspection
pe2's are perfect but toyos are bang for buck for the upcoming summer
only lowring for visual, they wont respond negatively but wont offer much improvement unless i go for coilies

Noticed you saying you're going to fit lowering springs and new shocks ? That's probably most of the price of a 1/2 decent set of coilies .. if you're going to do a job, do it properly man

less than £100 my man eibach sport lines and newish rear shocks off member on here
what colour black (paint code) did you do your wheels on the phase 1??

true point, although a set of koni adjustables and some prolines are gonna handle better any coilover that costs less than say £700 or so. unless youre going for something at the upper/top end of adjustable coils on a clio i dont quite see the point in them.
Dunn, car looks good. not a fan of the ph2 lights on a ph1 but each to their own. will be keeping an eye on this
Painting them is a mission. The previous owner did, and it was flaking off when I got it for whatever reason. I had them powdercoated "black" haha... !

i find eibachs with decent tyres a very competitve setup and very adequate for track days etc
had them on loads of my clios
coilies are not on the cards yet as my daily journey is out in the sticks and it would be a nightmare on coilies
Painting isnt a mission :rasp: all part and parcel of making your own car how 'you' want it

F1s are a mission to clean, let alone prime, paint etc ... screw that haha !

I've painted a set of f1's. It's not ideal, but it's not the worst thing in the world.
As for a colour, ford gloss black is a bloody lovely colour. Proper dark and deep black.

Be careful .. PH1 Renault badge is clipped in with holes left in the outer panel. The new RS badge doesn't quite cover it !

Well the amount of cleaning this car needs is making me appreciate my old silver phase 1
some "good condition" shocks and eibach sportlines turned up :dapprove: (yes they turned up packaged like this lol
took all the crap off and resprayed them red but they havent turned out great but they will do
and my new tyres turned up yesterday YAY
i didnt need a full set but didnt want to mixmatch with pe2's so thought it would be best to start fresh on Uniroyal Rainsport 2's
and cheeky blackberry pic on the gf's farm
will update once lowered and mot is done (fingers crossed)

Bit of an update
Got 12 months MOT today YaaaaY
so can start with HID fitting and order a decat as i now have this
love the diagnostic capabilities compared to my code reader, just need to send it to hwenk for the update for 'Pop Bang.Cal'
also fitted the led reg plate light
back end looks alot different from when i started and looks alot fresher, so pleased with the overall look now
i also fitted my Eibach Sportlines, so it now sits like this...
seems very low at the rear, but it looks good so meh
needs a good clean, which is on the cards for tommorow
