Do you need to code a air bag ecu?

Hi all
My airbag ecu is shagged and need to replace it, do you need to code a replacement ecu or are they like for like?

The part numbers will always match as there's only the one type. What you need to be sure of is a couple of things:

1 - The doner car hasn't had any airbags or pretensioners deployed

2 - It's from a similar spec car

Different versions of the X65 have different bits of equipment which makes up the SRS system. The computers are the same but the configuration on them is slightly different. It can be changed but you will need someone to do this for you unless you have acces to something like an RS Tuner.

Ok i have a ecu with the exact same part number but it's from a 2001 poverty spec 1.2 and mine a is a 2005 182 if it's the same part number should it be ok??
