Did you buy a bargain Clio

I have just been looking on Autotrader to see the prices of 172s just to compare with the price I paid for my 172 a month ago. I noticed that there are mostly MKI 172s or high mileage MKII 172s around the price I paid for mine so I am starting to realise that I have got a bargain !

I paid £8800 for a mint 2002 02 Monaco Blue MKII 172 (there are a lot of 2s in that sentence ! LOL !) with just 9730 miles on the clock.

Did you buy, what you considered to be, a bargain Clio ?

That is a bargain, I paid £9999 for an Iceberg Silver 172 Sport with 22k on the clock. That was from the dealer, but tints on there, that tempted me in...

I paid to much for mine (£10k) but then again I got free insurance and an alarm, mats and flaps for it. Being that you can get the 80hp for £8.8K on import then its not to bad but still 10k a lot of money. I could have had a cup for that sort of price.

Got mine for £500, 8 year old mk1 1.2, mint condition cept for a bump on teh passenger sill that was rust on wiat for it....9K miles.

Was my nans she had it from new, serviced each year, still had orignal tyres on it...after 8 years

I got my 02 reg flame red 172 on sunday with 17k on the clock,just taxed for a year,with a brand new alloy in the boot too for £9250.

Tbh im not overly bothered if i paid too much for it because it is in mint condition and i fappin love the car!!!

£9250 is still a good price Gav. By the way, all 172s come with a spare alloy in the boot ! It is a very nice touch I have to say !



I think _KDF has probably had the best deal so far....... or maybe Andy_66 ? Saying that, steveV6 has probably bought one of the cheapeast V6s around and Lunner paid £500 for a car that had only done 9000 miles ! All good deals !

It is good to see you can get a good deal if you are prepared to look for long enough !

I paid £1450 for my 1993 valver with 55k on the clock, leather interior etc and actually a pretty all round tidy car. I felt it was a bargain! Especially 30 minutes after I collected her when I hit 7000rpm for the first time

I paid £11999 for my first 172 in July 2002. That was a brand new import which I was chuffed with at the time, that was one of the best prices around for an unregistered 172.

£11,995 for a new cup at Renault Croydon last october.

Almost got a pre reg one in Beckenham for £11,400 but they sold it 5 minutes before I saw it. They offered me a pre reg 172 for £12,000 but it was silver. Wanted Red, Blue or Black.

Paid £10600 for a 8 month old with 1700 miles. so not to bad. but I concidered it a bargain at the time cos reno wanted 12500 for an 02 with 18000k!! no ta and they wanted 13k for it!!

Mikesclio i paid less then that for a 1.6 16v brand new about 2 months after they came out. Got a cd player metallic paint electric sunroof and air con too-import though
