That would have been £500+ easy!!!

You can all slate him for doing it but it will be so easy to maintain after that clean.

Easy money!

I reckon the guy does this full time. At the end of the day, If I was looking to have my car detailed to the max then I'd have no hesitation in paying him to do it. Results are superb.

Erm, wasn't this a pro-detail? I.e. the guy doing the work was getting paid...? The owner was Mark, who dropped the car off and supplied his own wax. The guy doing the work was Matt, notice how he says things like:
This Impreza wasn't book in for an Engine Detail so I wasn't going at it too hard, it would have required a much more lengthy Detail to get rid of it all.

It's easy to have too much time on your hands when you're getting paid for that time... Yea he needs a girlfriend, and to stop cleaning cars on a weekend for money...

How about some of you take the effort to actually *READ* what you're slagging off once in a while eh?

Lets face facts here, thats a performance car, probs never been near a track, like lots of others, makes about as much sense as keeping toilet roll in the fridge.

What does that have do with it being cleaned?

Are you saying people shouldn't have performance cars if they don't track them?

You should see the fella on there with an Astra VXR.

Brand new car and he PC'd the headlights because they were swirly.

Wow
Not sure if it the same dude. I did hear the other day of a bloke with a new (un touched) astra nurenburgring (sp) - apparently he didn't let the stealers touch it before he picked it up, when he came to collect it. He trailered it away from the stealers !

He detailed it, without it being driven. He made them keep all of the protective shizz & stickers on it too.

Someone mocked him, so he detailed his dyson & put up a thread about it.
Legend !

I dunno if it's the same dude with the blue vxr, they way they said it to me was that it was the same dude.

I've just read all of that (well 99%) Utterly amazing tbh. I loved the way that most on here throght the owner geeked it up himself (shoes how much they read things really lol)

Do they not like zymol on there or something ? As it ahs Z**** most of the time.

I want my car doing

I'm saying I dont see the point if they aint, would you own a helicopter and never fly it just to brag in the pub " ohhh i have a helicopter" 320 HP needs using properly, not running to maccy d's for a big mac.

yeh that guy did take it straight for a detail, the car hadnt been touched by he stealers
but was still covered in swirls!
and the guy who done the detail is probly the best in the buisness.
iirc a shiek paid him to go over to dubai and detail 9 high end cars.
including two veyrons.think his fee was 9k plus all his expenses were paid for aswell.
search it on dw really interesting read.

Okay if it's his job

Doing crap like that in yor spare time though is just plain sad

i am a full time student - hold a full time job in a local restaurant and detail cars in my full time.

i dont drink, smoke etc, and enjoy cleaning cars. so why not?

IMO a 'show' car should be TOTALLY swirl free - otherwise the paint is letting the entire car down.

i do go out, socialise etc - feel this thread is perhaps a bit harsh!

here is some examples of my work - not what i would call sad!

thats the rewarding factor!

and as a side not the dealers are not touching my brand new 197, it will be driven home and immediately going through the same process as the scooby!

also as for Zymol on DW - Zymol got all fussed about using their name on a web site without their permission etc so DW just blank it out to avoid copyright stuff.

^^ but yes it will!

it will have a crisp reflection and a true colour that isnt marred by swirls marks!

proove my point even further then lol. 500+ for like 3 days work i think it was?

i think thats pretty good going tbh:)

this is the guys job and it would be 500+ most of the cars detailed on that site are specialist vehicles so the guys have that kind of cash to spend on there car.
if someone offered you that kinda cash am sure you would give up your w/end.

For that kinda cash some members on here would give him a blow job.
