Probably mate @williamsclio1 managed to get a good price for one I think, £263 I think?

Sort of. Managed to sand it down, etch primer it, then have got three coats of high build primer on it at the moment. No lines so far so it's going well!!

Now do I wait for it to harden overnight then spray the basecoat and lacquer tomorrow or do it all tonight?
Don't rush it just let it harden :)

Bloody women.

Looks like this atm though. Really happy with how this has turned out can't wait to fit! Managed to get one lacquer run at the bottom of the spoiler due to the lack of light. Shouldn't be a problem to flat back and polish once it's hardened though.

@Ant_Smiggy

Well there's some good parts to this post and some bad points. The good point is... the spoiler is on and you get a real jist as to how it looks.

The bad point is, the finished product doesn't look fantastic. For some reason i've managed to strike through the lacquer when trying to flat back a lacquer run so I can't polish it out. Really annoying. Also overnight it appears that the lines from the GRP finish have come through. My friend who owns a sprayshop has informed me that it's f**king nigh on impossible to get a great finish with aerosols with a GRP material as you need something decent and thick like the paint applied from a gun in a bodyshop.

So i'm going to send it to him to get it sprayed as i'm deep down not happy with the finish but I think once it's properly done it's going to look great as shown! I'll live with it for now but as i'm sure some of you will know, I'm not really the one to let things like this slide 😧 haha

Other than the finish i'm not particularly happy with, what do people think to the style? I think it looks great for the price but interested to hear what others think about how it looks.

Do you have any shots from the side so I can see the 2 lines on top of the spoiler.

Such a shame about the strike through, feel for you !

Yeah tell me about it, although I wasn't happy with it anyway so it would be sprayed irrespective of so i'm not 100% bummed out about it. Cheers though mate

Looking sweet man!, was debating getting one myself as although i slightly prefer the cup spoiler this is cheaper but the postage is about £30 isnt it? making it end up around the same price?

Look saweeeeeet man!! Need to see this in the flesh side to side with mine! Shame about how it came out but you'll have it sorted no doubt buddy!

Any full side profile shots?

I quite like the lines on top! Pleasure ribs! Satisfaction guaranteed haha!

Spoiler looks good will be keeping an eye on how it turns out! What's the deal with the hid's then I don't know anything when it comes to bulbs Etc are these a straight swap for the "xenon" bulbs in the headlights?

Depends on the model mate. There's often some confusion between Xenons and HID's. you can have normal none HID's with xenon gas in them but are not HID where as these are for the HID xenon fitment type.

With reference to this spoiler if I have the standard sport spoiler is there anything I need to do to fit this? ie does the brake light and all that fit it?

Spoiler looks good mate, shame about the finish but I'm sure you'll get it sorted asap, you don't like to hang about .

Day pics needed then it would be good to see it side by side with a V6/Trophy spoiler for comparison.

Ive just had a thought...where you have struck through just mask that area off and start again. Primer over the top, colour and then lacquer. Maybe give it a polish once its been dry for a day or so to blend In with the rest of it but from the photos the paintwork looks fine other than that!

  CLIO 182
Easier said than done! Blending is hard enough as it is! I'm no expert but I've had enough experience to know its a right PITA to do haha especially on something relatively small [emoji106]

Ooh I might look into one Sumtime then :)

You should, for the price I think it looks great. Deffo pay for what you get though especially with the quality, fitment though!

Yeah tell me about it. I'm not worrying so much about the paint now as I know it's going to get sorted and i'm in no rush really. Embraced my current illness and taken some pics for you when I went outside to take stuff to the bin.

Good idea mate but even then it's the overall finish of the spoiler where the lines from the GRP have come through are annoying me. You can see it on one of the pics fairly easily.

Yeah, I think if I can give any advice to anyone buying this is to get it sprayed at a bodyshop due to the GRP material it's made out of as aerosols just don't cut it. More pics anyway, shocking ones I know but i'm feeling awful and not going anywhere (ha this makes it sound like i'm sulking due to the spoiler :p but i've got some kind of chest infection it's horrid)

See in those pics im not sure if I like it or not. But then at least you don't need to feck about with these spoilers unlike the cups.

I think Dans' thinking about putting the original spoiler back on because its bugging him that the paintwork isnt 100% :tongueclosed:

Looks ok mate, not sure on the lines on it tho and i would have probably taken it to a bodyshop for the money/time it takes, but thats just me :)
