Crunch changing gear

Basically booted the car in first gear up to the redline then with clutch down into 2nd gear a tiny crunch sound
Could it be mostly the clutch or gearbox?
Every other gear is fine however, and only crunches going into 2nd when changing gear at around the 7k mark

It's the only way I can get the full power out it, it seems all the grunt is from 5k to 7k

They're the perfect catch 22;

All the power is top end, but the gearboxes are made of crackers and don't like to be forced.

All kidding aside, just don't rush the box by changing gear like you're on a quali lap everywhere, give it time and don't force it, and it'll be fine.
