Cold start problem

  Renault Clio RSi Mk1
I am having a fookin nightmare with my RSi at the moment:mad:

It starts fine but the moment you depress the accelerator it stalls :dapprove:
After a few attempts it does eventually get going, this is baffling me :S
It does this when its been left for a few hours, starts and goes fine if only left for a shorter period...

Anyone have any ideas ??

Cheers Keith

Its not that intermitant, its every time its cold...
I thought it might be some sort of choke thing, but its injected so i was told it wasnt that :S

  Skoda Fabia vRS
what does it do if you leave it to idle ?

if it idles fine for about 30 seconds then drops the revs and chugs about to get them back up, then its probably the lambda sensor

coolant temp sensor is a common fault though so it could be that

So a new one of these will sort my problem then ?

Struggling to see how a water temp sensor makes the car stall when the throttle is depressed, and why would it work after a few attempts (the water doesnt get any warmer:S )

Confused :S:S
