Clio Sport service in Aberdeen

Hey to all,

got a 51 plate Clio 172 in need of a belt change (dephaser noise). Any recommended places/people?
I am in Aberdeen, car still drives just fine (although not used ATM) other than the noise on idle.

Any input appreciated as well as guideline on price. So far I am counting around 220-240 for belts + pulleys + dephaser.
Also should I change the AUX belt at the same time or is it easy to do yourself?

Willing to travel?

You should have the following done-

Dephaser pulley
Cambelt kit
Aux belt kit
Water pump (personal preference)
Coolant changed (Renault type D)
Oil & filter changed

How far? Why coolant? Just curious as it has to be done anyway since I replaced radiator and it's just water there now.

There's is SWR in Stirling and Rentec in Edinburgh. Both are Renault specialists.

I only said coolant because it has to be changed if you change the water pump.

Just got a quote from SWR for timing belt + aux + dephaser + water pump at 630 all inclusive. Oh well seems will have to fork out a bit of cash unless Rentec have a sweeter deal.

Give them rentec a phone mate and tell them the quote you've had from SWR and they might try and beat it.
