Anyone else making plans for getting their car up to scratch?

Main plans are:

Headlight correction
Pre wash
Clean wheels and tyres
Snow foam
Two bucket method
Tar removal
Iron removal
Clay bar
Wash
Rinse/ drying aid
Dry
Polish with P1
IPA wipe down
Glaze
Wax
C5 all plastics
Seal all windows
Seal wheels
Quick engine wipe down
Full interior detail

Goodies to bring with me:
QD spray
Glass cleaner
Lots of microfibres

Going to take my time and hopefully archive 90% correction.

Let's just pray for nice wether now.

What a list!!!!
It's going to be clean though.

I've got to purchase some polish and decent wax.

No idea which one to buy though.
Any tips?

Thats what you do though isn't it Paul? Or at least thats how dreadful you make it look.

Handbags coming out fellas?

Going to start by deep cleaning the carpets this weekend when I take my seats out to fit the sport ones

That interested gally? Or will the c1 still be going?

I don't know. The C1 will still be going next winter but i'll probably detail it in the summer just out of boredom!

C1 is no fun! I'll decide soon!

I may give mine a tinkle with the hose, it'll be filthy after the journey anyway and I won't be joining the countless homos standing there with their detailing spray caressing the car like a fine woman.

Let me get this straight. You're planning the method of exactly how you're going to clean your car, 5 months in advance?

Mate, that's not normal.

Many of the steps do the exact same thing? i'm sure there is no need for tar remover, iron remover and a clay bar. I thought a clay bar takes EVERYTHING off, just need some elbow grease with it.

I spent 7 hours on just the clay! this is some dedication!!

FLOL!!!! 7 hours? It's a 30-45 minute job if you decontaminate correctly.

Guaranteeeeeeeeed!

Not quite, all you've done is rub tar over your paintwork whilst removing it. You kinda did it wrong.

I did use tar remover ha, only because I have it but i normally wouldnt. Also the car was filthy with unseen muck, took almost an hour for each panel.

You definitely did it wrong, you need to prepare beforehand.

Oh I did all that, I done a rinse, Pre-wash, Shampoo, then Tar remover, clay bar, polish then wax.

My bad, thats what i meant.

Its not as sad as it seems, i plan to do it in stages so hopefully there isnt a mad rush like everyone else is going to have.

More than you have anyway.
"Big detail on Thursday...We decided that we couldn't be arsed, so just gave it a quick wash and took some pictures and used photoshop as our paint correction technique of the day."

Lowered yourself to my level LOL!

I have to troll, there is literally nothing better to do when you sit at a computer 24 hours a day ;)

Thinking of sheds, I might make myself a PistonSheds sticker...Hmmmm.

I'll be putting in a few days in April/May time but nothing special for CSS.

And definitely won't be wiping dust and road dirt accross my paint with QD. I'll probably just clean the glass and dress the tyres.

I'm not as fussed this year. It's more about seeing the boys.

I'll probably do it fully the week before. Fire some Z8 over it at the show. Jobs a good un.
