Ah that's grand mate just send me a PM when you know which day suits best. I need to stay around the house Monday and Thursday as I'll have the wee one to look after but you're more than welcome to come then

Tidy interior and bodywork too for the mileage, remove that door edge protector though, they end up doing more damage than they are worth!

Yes I need to sort the clock! It's been fitted badly and it means you can't change the hours! No biggy I'll pop the dash off and do it when I replace the bulb in it. But I think it's looking better

So not much happened with this for a few weeks whilst I was getting the mini sorted for sale, promised myself I'd leave it alone until I'd paid my bro back the loan.
And then things escalated.
But we'll come back to that in a bit.

Tbf the roads were all country roads and I did fly along them but it is a difficult colour to keep clean.
Then I fitted a diesel megane box with 6 gears for motorway cruising
Or the Rev counter broke, one of those two things is true
So picked up another speedo, changed it all over and figured with nothing to lose I'd try to fix it. Which worked fine! Typical.
So going back the silver one, I've taken the xenons, grilles, fog surrounds, sabelt, boss, stalk and the turinis temporarily for the rb.

Lots of very nice stuff will be up for sale soon from both and the silver one will be sold as a complete running fairly standard car.

Konis won't fit yours, fit anything except cupped 182s and trophies. Turinis will be about £300.

Yup genuine, with boot struts
You can see a wee bit of paint damage there and the colour match isn't iceberg but it's in otherwise good nick so I'd be after £275 Ono I think. Still to research prices for everything!

O hai John, thought it might have been you but wasn't sure of the regi, I take it that was Gav in the AG next to yours?
So er, this has taken a backward step in the last week. I 100% believed I had a deal on the silver one and had confirmation that I could take parts off it but the owner had a change of heart before I paid him so it's all back to how it looked before without xenons, new grilles etc.
So almost back to square 1 I go. So to cheer myself up I went to the scrappies and bought lots of s**t! Got lots of little things that needed changed (gaiter, indicator stalk, mist jets etc etc) and have also bought a brand new sabelt that I'll pick up during the week. Really liked having one again so thought fuckit and bought it! I also got myself a splitter and fitted that yesterday, no pics but as usual it's made it look a lot better. It's probably also added strength to the bumper cos it's taken a hammering over the years!
Speaking to a boy about a set of 16s too, not turinis despite them looking good. Hopefully anthracite suits it well, I think the wheels themselves will look great. Fingers crossed I can afford them!

Been a good weekend for the car, If you ignore the many warning lights that came on anyway....
Fitted the new wheels and really pleased with them
And had a chance to sort the spoiler, turns out I don't have a before pic but it sat very proud on the passenger side. It had a new boot fitted in 2008 and clearly it wasn't done very well!
Got it better by loosening 2 of the boot nuts and dropping it down so the whole thing fits better, not perfect but better
Quick pic in sunshine, I was holding tyre gel in my hand so yes, its been done now!
Iron x'd it and de-tarred it today as well, then used some AF mercury on the exhaust just to see what it would do, didn't spend much time doing it because its not the sort of job that interests me! Left one done, right one not
And just to show why I probably won't machine polish the rear bumper! I knew about this before buying it so its not a surprise. Hopefully a pair of RB bumpers will come up at some point

I assume with the rear bumper paint and the replacement bootlid fitment issue the cars been hit before?
Maybe worth checking behind the rear bumper/lights/boot panel bud?

Yeah checked out when buying it, floor is nice and straight. But it's defo had a hit up the arse back in the day!
