Yeh im going to go for a set of D90s instead of the Banded steelies as i think they will go with the type of work done to the car so far, better look and i want some porker seats so having a bit of a porsche theme.

I travel about 50 miles a day to work and back, costs about the same as my densil 306 but so much more fun and when i want to deck it past some nobber i can.

Not really, more of a EuroOEM+ sort of thing, i dont really go all out one style, i have my own version of things.. some like it some dont, but its my choice at the end of the day.

Looks well Im currently euroing my clio too but have no pics as of yet.

Weller steels are a great idea but i doubt 13's will clear 1*2 brakes.

Update day Two at BodyShop

Wel first thing was first and i started removing more bits from my car..

First to go was the Rear Bumper and the rear lights then next to go was the Air Con Pannell

Heres a pic of the bumper gone and the rear lights

And one with the boot down...

and the Air Con pannell..

Next out was the other dash bits and then had to take them apart for one bit to be sprayed..

Also one of the frist things to happen was that the bits all keyed up the day before where sprayed up....

And teh roof lining got sorted out as well...


After one layer of paint....

and then 2 layers..

and the final 3rd layer of paint..

Whilst i was waiting for the first bits of black to dry i started on doing a service on it as i dont think it had recieved one for quite a while..... as you can see from my pics lol

Now to get to the spark plugs you have to take the inlet off on a 172.. very very easy and not as hard as it sounds..

Once all the spark plugs where replaced by new nice shiny ones we had a little look at the old ones... haha.. Mullered is not the word...

and the worst one....

and back together but with the air box off....

After all that the black was dry and i could get some pics....

Next was to put the next load of bits in the oven and get them all primered, sprayed and finished...

Painted .....

Lights....

And then finished offf.....

Whilst that was all drying and getting sprayed i had a loook at what the badge would look like...

And finally i had to spend £60 on this.... a power steering Pressure Sensor......

Car goes back together 2mro so should have some interesting pics and ill have a very stressed day. lol

no mate i had to get some specialist Acrillic paint really expensive, but well worth it lol cost all of £6 for a tube of it, mix it with 30% water and then its ready for the gun.

Yeh this is the main of the work that is getting doe apart from the new seats, retrim, Wheels and Suspension.

Hense such quick progress.

Its not cost that much for all the work and im good mates with a bodyshop owner so hes doing it all for me but hes not really doing it mates rates as everyone will ask for it and he wont make any money. lol. But its better quality than doing it at home and well worth it.

Update BodyShop Day 3...putting back together.


Ok wel i left some bits in the oven to dry over night so it all all ok and started to put it all back together on friday..

here is the main centre section that has been painted so you can see the colour more...

Also here is all the bits that have been taken off and sprayed quite alot of bits in total .

First thing to go back on is the rear lights...

Then the roof lining.. cant really see well in this pic but you get the idea....

Next to go back was the engine bits and i also wire brushed the inlet to tidy it up a bit...

then the rear bumper... middle section was painted black...

now to go for the front bumper...

Fog light covers in..

Washed Jets on...

Then the other grills...and badges

and from distance...

as i took the dials apart i had to put it all back ...

and then the rear all back on and together...

Then last night went out and got some pics with jedd in and around exeter.....
