clio 200 climate control gremlins

Every time I press 'auto' the AC comes on for some reason. Plus i'm sure the air coming out is much colder than the temperature indicated. :S

Anyone had similar dramas?

Isn't the auto setting meant to get the cabin temperature down/up to the display temp ASAP... Hence using the AC

Yeah I think its meant to come on when you press AUTO. Its the same in 182s with climate.

Pretty sure the AC isn't required to get the car to 24 degrees.
