clio 182T yey or ney?

strangely the insurance is cheaper than if it were standard and cheaper than our other car which is group 17 insurance.

As for keeping up with Evo's, Chris n Nic will tell you, as his cup was all over a Rallyart Evo when we did the Evo Triangle :)

We'll see I heard your car's powered by fairy dust is that like NOS?

;)

those insurance quotes are ace for the clio then. I was quoted £980 just for a wrx impreza. How big an increase was it over your policy when it was standard? I still don't think it would keep up withan evo but its something i'd be willing to do if i knew it was cheap to insure. My clio costs £630 now as a second car with no ncb attached to it.

My insurance is actually a bit lower now than it was when standard.
Adding boost coincided with me moving house (into a nicer area) and living closer to work (less mileage) as well as getting an extra years NCB though, so I can't make an accurate comparison. I've also changed to a specialist insurer now, whereas before I was with Elephant.
When getting quotes for Scoobs / Evo's / Supra's etc, I think insurers simply go on age and nothing more. I'm only 23 and a lot of them won't even insure anybody under 25 for such cars. Specialist insurers (Flux, Greenlight et al) go for the enthusiast market and age doesn't matter so much IMO.

When i started to get insurance for the Evo, some places have now put the age upto wait for this ...... 28 pmsl

Im 27 and laughed, but i still got mine fully comp for £950 all mods dec. Thats a very high risk area, with lots of naughty fraud insurance claims being bounced all over the place... Oh how i love living in bolton.

chris "w17gle" was having the same problem with his std 172 the area is naff and he took a fancy to some armco on the motorway so his clio isnt that far off what im paying for my evo lol.
