Clio 172 gearbox oil leak

Have a phase 2 172 with a gearbox oil leak.

also has a knocking when driven hard

i have removed the gearbox from the car, does anyone know of a specialist that will look at the gearbox and repair it?

have considered the option of a second hand unit, but could put it in and end up with the same problems!

The knocking will be the either the dog bone mount, or one of the engine mounts,
and the leak will be one of the seals they're known for it,
unfortunately the only repair kit available for it has to be ordered from France.

Pretty sure the dog bone mount is all good as it has an uprated bush. Could it be a drive shaft?

Is it just one knock on acceleration or deceleration, or both? If so it's probably the exhaust hitting the subframe, check the top engine mount, my original tore in two within 6,000 miles from new. If it's a constant knocking with wheel rotation, then it could be the gearbox or drive shaft.

Without a more detailed description of where the knock's coming from and when it happens,
it's pretty hard to diagnose, it could be any number of things.

Its a a constant noise that increases as I drive harder, which for me leads to the gearbox

If it's leaking oil have you topped it up recently?
