clio 1.4 16v --------> clio sport 172 2.0L 1.6v

good evening. I have a clio 1.4 16v, I am interested in put a 2.0L engine in my country but I do not get the engine clio 172, but I did find the magene 2.0l 16v engine, I have understood that the two engines are F4R, it is very difficult megane convert the 2.0L engine, the Clio Sport 172? pieces that I have to change? the gearbox is the same?

Best bet is to ask a company such as RSTuning or KTEC to do this for you. Either one is your choice as many would state on here. There are specialists on the Forums that can help you with this and will do it for a cheaper price if they do so wish to.

Was the megane 2.0.....
a mk1 or mk2 megane??

the mk1 is a f7r(same as a williams clio)
the mk2 i think was only a 140bhp ish f4r(same as the senic 2.0)


Not the same power engine as a 172 clio

the meganes lumps im sure is the same in principle i.e started life the same got sent to the rensport chaps and came back out with a few tweaks

Does the megane f4r not have entirely different manifolds etc?
