It is important? Looked like the handbrake cables were running under it when i took it off... :clown:

Now I might not be right on this but I think the clue is in the name. I'm quite sure the heat sheild is there to sheild the underside of the car from the heat of the exhuast!! The handbrake cable does run under it which makes it a git to tighten the handbrake cable
