Catcams 422 or 422 non vvt

  CRX,205,Type S,172..
I ordered CatCams 422 (5502422) with vvt and the store sold me
422(5503422) the non vvt version ( they agreed they would change them for vvt
ones)

Since i have these i can put them in with original puleys and i would do the
oem timing.

I'm interested in what is the beter option

I have wossner 12:8 pistons and itb's and use car for slalom races,
sometimes the revs drop down to 2500 rpm and i wouldn't like to loose the
low and mid range torque.

I will not get pass the 8000 rpm

So what is the better option for me the vvt or the non vvt version

Please it's pretty urgent cause the engine is out and my first race is in 2
weeks time

Regards
goran

If it's just idle that is not a problem.
I've sent an email to catcams but got an automatic return mail they are flooded with emails and they need some time to anwser

You need two exhaust cam pulleys. Time them up as per catcams specification and idle will be 1200-1400 rpm. Otherwise no difference
