Car sounds dead!!

Went out for a thrash 2nite and now when i get to like the cam kick at 4800-5000k it makes this funny metallic/plasticky real fast vibrating noise??

But you can only hear it if you bring revs up really slowly like revving out but hardly any throttle, if you boot it you cant hear it.

Its like if you rev it up in neutral or slowly rev it as driving.

Anyone have any ideas no engine lights etc have come up but im now worried bout going to donington??

Possibly mate heat sheild?? Manifold? not to sure on where heat sheild is or which one you mean?

Yeh im not sure its anything major as lights havent come on.

The 4k rattle...

Yeah, sounds like the heat shield rattling mate. Common fault, renault will fix it under warranty for free.

I had something similar to this, took it to Kwik Fit and they showed me the problem. It was a loose spring bolt from the front of the exhaust. The washer had work out which caused the spring to pop loose. So, when I hit anything between 3 and 4k, the bolt makes a rattling noise on the exhaust. Going to have it fixed when I get the cambelt changed on Monday.

Just took engine cover off and its still doing doesnt always do it tho 99% of time it does. But if you slowly rev it up a few times after a while it goes?

I did it with bonnet up and stationary and my bro said it sounds like its coming from down the back of engine?

get it up on some ramps check all the heat shielding as mentioned
