Can't seem to fix my sunroof leak - with pictures

Trying to fix a leaky sunroof. Before taking it all apart and putting it back together again with new silicone, I've sealed it from the outside where the plastic meets the metal roof, which as far as I can tell would do the same job?

Looking at this picture, the water is getting in through the gap that you can see just to the right of the golden 10mm bolt. Can anyone advise what the problem might be?

Take it out and do it properly, fix it right fix it once. I assume you've disconnected the drain pipe?

Yeah I was making sure it was clear. I'll try it according to the guide on here an see what happens. Thanks

i used the guide on here and ive never had any problems after that
