buying a mk2 phase 2 clio what to look for?

buying a mk2 phase 2 dci 80 or 100,

just wanted to know what to look for?

heard the early phase 2's had different headlights to the later phase 2's

was there any other trim changes etc through the production run?

what your refering to is the mark 2 ph1 (looked frog like) then renault did a facelift version known as the mk2 ph2 (big triangle lites) the mk2 ph2 has an updated interior as well as the headlights, they main shell of the car is essentially the same but the handling on the ph2 is supposidly sharper than ph1.

renault also did a very minor facelift of the ph2 round about 2004 which was VERY discrete and was pretty much justa new design of front bumper and front grill.

i personally own a 1.2 16v mk2 ph2 and have been very pleased with it (owned since oct 2005) would highly recomend them.

Yep thats a Mk2 Ph2 as also said they did a Mk2 Ph3 in 2004> which was very subtle, they changed the front bumper design, dials got digital fuel+temp gauges, dynamique alloys, dynamique seat pattern, the 1.2 16v has a different intake manifold/throttle body and a few other things I can't remember.
Only things I like about the Ph3 are the alloys and the seat pattern, other than that its Ph2 all the way.
