Bronze cap on rear hub.

Can you remove it? If yes, which im almost certain you can, which is the best way to go about it and is it that essential?

This is for non-sports btw

yeah easy smack a chisel or screw driver into where it meets the hub

This keeps the grease in though doesnt it? Dont see why you would want to remove it (other than to get to the nut to take the disc off of course). I would say it is definitely worth keeping on though, so re-fit it if you are doing a rear disc change.

nope its just a dust cap, 100% pointless

Rear spacers don't fit correctly whilst they are still on, that's the reason. Thanks fred!
