Brakes are solid!

  Clio Sport 182
I got in the car this morning and drove down the road and for a second i thought i wasnt going to stop, until i pushed really hard to the brake pedal. The brakes feel stiff as if the car was turned off. When i drive for a little while, they work fine for one press then they go back solid again. Now am i right is saying that the servo holds the vacume? If so could it be a slight split or hole in the vacume pipe slowing the vacume to build up? Has anyone had or heard of a simlar problem? Any advice would be greatfull. Thanks
Keiran.

id check vacuum hose for the servo as you said.

Had these issues at work with MINI's. vacuum hose popping off the servo. making the brake pedal go rock solid.

Yeah, thinking about it, it cant come off otherwise there would never be any help when braking but as it does after a little driving maybe it is cracked. Yeah that thread it great thank you!
