Braided Hoses & Fluid Choice

Two questions here - I'll be checking my brakes (strip down and make sure nothings seized) as they seem to be a bit inconsistent (soft pedal, wont sto, then next minute squealing the rears)
Firstly, whats a recommended brake fluid for fast road & track use? From research I'm leaning towards ATE Superblue.
Next one, whilst I'm bleeding the system anyway, is it worth getting braided hoses on?
Cheers
Jim

Superblue has been discontinued and been replaced with typ200 and is now the normal yellow/amber sort of colour, I use it on track personally and haven't had any issues although it's all I've ever used so can't compare. I will probably switch to motul rbf next time though.

Can't comment on braided hoses, they're on my to be purchased list so I'd be interested to see what's recommended

That explains why I struggled to find it when searching online! Just out of interest @Ads29 , if you haven't had any issues why are you wanting to change?

Any braided hoses with help slightly with the soft pedal issue. renewing/Bleeding will also help a lot.

Goodridge hoses and motul rbf600/660 or pfRH665 their both dot 4 fluids, its what I have been running in my cars for over ten years now, perfect for track or fast road.SJ.

Its not been replaced, Typ200 has always been available, The idea was you alternated between the two when doing full flushes to make it easier to see.

I personally prefer Motul RBF over the ATE stuff though as i kept having issues with inconsistent pedal and fluid going off, Not had any issues since going Motul.

Purely just to see if there is any noticeable difference between fluids, I honestly can't fault typ200 but with the reviews I've seen regarding rbf600/660 I think it's worth a try to see.

Wasn't typ200 sold as supergold previously @-Jamie-? Maybe I'm getting confused though, it's easy done after all :)

If you want cheap Super DOT 4 I'd also consider Ford's Super DOT 4 ; some Fords like the Mk3 Mondeo were meant to run it as standard.

Price isnt really an issue its more buying the right stuff once and not having to replace it every 6 months.

Is the motul genuinely better than the typ200?
Its mainly the heat range it can take while still having a rock hard peddle, other brake fluids cannot take the heat and start to feel soft and squishy,if you track or are very hard on the brakes on fast road driving the performance brake fluids that have been mentioned are a definite upgrade over the typ200,but saying that type200 for normal driving conditions is perfectly fine.SJ.

Anyone using hel brided lines? Got them for 69 pounds from kam racing. Also after some research I will be going for motul rbf600. Ate typ 200 is much cheaper but boiling temperature is also lower... Do you think that 1 liter will be enough if I have to change break lines as well? Thanks
