Bonnet alarm switch

I have damaged the bonnet switch and it is going off intermittently. Is there any way of locking the car without arming the alarm? Is there any way of bypassing that switch until I can get a replacement?


And can this be moved to the right section please.

When pushed in the circuit is made and it thinks the bonnets closed..

Cut the wires and connect them or bridge them.. Mine was binned ages ago as it fails or gets water in causing issues.

I don't want to cut the connector off so just a wire bridging the two (?) contacts?

Just disconnect it, doesn't need to be plugged in.

Alternatively to lock it without the alarm on, open the passenger door, press the lock button on the centre console, shut passenger door, lock with key.

That's great Pete, the exact information I needed. I was going to experiment today with those options, bit unreasonable towards the neighbours trying at 12 last night!

Mines been unplugged for 2 years now.
