Bird poo marks. What to do?

  Peddled device
I gave my car a really good clean yesterday. I usually wash it when its needed, but only polish it about 2-3 times a year (yeah, I know! When I eventually sell the car I'll make a point of this!). Yesterday I noticed a few bad marks on it that have been caused by bird sh1t.

What has to be done to repair the marks? I'm sure it going to involve some buffing of sorts, but does it need the lacquer redoing? Who in the North West can restore original paintwork to its former glory, and what kind of costs are we looking at? The car has the usually stone chip or ten, but isn't too bad considering its 8 years old.

The lacquer is 'etched'.

If its not too deep it could be saved with polishing or wetsanding. If its gone too far it needs respraying.

Wow, with a title like that and no stupid answers is everybody out tonight?? :)

Seek out a specialist in paint finishes and pick their brains. May need taking back and re-painting?

I've had this on a BG Clio I bought to flog, as said I used time very fine wet and dry followed by a machine polish, couldn't even tell after to be fair - well I couldn't but a pro probably could do
