Best wheels for Trackdays? Need to be tough!

  Clio 172 ph1, others
I have OZ F1's at the moment, but I have heard that they are made out of chocolate, and can bend and buckle easily if you want to ride the curbs.

What options are there? Do people agree with this comment?

Looking at speedline 2118's, but want to try and keep the cost down. Need to look right though!

Cheers

Angus

The burpspeed guys run F1's on the race car.

Not as bad as their made out to be imo. More likely to buckle them on public roads full of potholes than hitting a few raise kerbs enthusiastically on track.

Well Tony has NO mechanical sympathy when driving, so if they survive a season with those guys at the wheel then they'll be more than fine on a track day. ;)

You won't get much stronger wheels than 2118's, they were originally gravel wheels.

As said, you won't get a much better all round wheel for lightness/strength/cost than pro race 1.2's

Racetrack kerbs aren't like road kerbs. Oz f1 are fine. And they are easily replaced if you do eventually damage one.
