Best antivirus?

Re: Anti Virus & Internet Security.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus is fine. Amongst the best infact.

Their "Internet Security" software is a bit bloated however.

You cant go wrong with KIS, I have been using it for years.

Griff is entitled to his opinion but I disagree.

I'd highly recommend Avast, tbh...it's free as well, though I have the full, registered version.

Internet security = f*ck off and don't rip me off, thanks.

Firewall = Router.
AntiVirus = Avast.
Weekly scanner = Malware Bytes.

Job done.

£20+ per year. It's hardly "ripping" people off is it!

Re: Anti Virus & Internet Security.

Router/Windows for Firewall, does a perfect job.
Malwarebytes (Full version) for AV, which is awesome. Has IP protection etc, so even that prevents dodgy IPs accessing anything.

Re: Anti Virus & Internet Security.

Thanks guys. I have AVG but it keeps asking me to pay for it. It was free for ages but now its not. I will try this Kaspersky for 12 months. 50P per month per computer is not bad.

Re: Anti Virus & Internet Security.

microsoft security essentials its free its small system footprint and tbh its really not bad

Free Anti-Virus, Which One?

I have a HP laptop running Windows 7, the free Norton trial is about to end.

What would you recommend? Post links if possible!

Thanks.

Btw, not really keen on AVG!

Another vote for MS security essentials. Does a great job on my XP and Win 7 machines.

Another vote for AVG. I install it on everything really and never had any complaints.

AVG Free.

Anyone remember Donna asking how much it was to buy? LOL.

Re: Free Anti-Virus, Which One?

Went for the MS Security Essentials one for now!

Had AVG on my old laptop and found it too intrusive tbh, also wanted to try something new!

Re: Free Anti-Virus, Which One?

Just switched over to MSE on my games machine. Seems ok. I have been a fan of NOD32 for a long time but have recently decided sack paying for anti-virus.

AVG Free seems a little like bloatware these days TBH, hence me trying out MSE.
