Ben Lomond

So my father and I decided since it was a nice day to climb Ben Lomond and complete my first "Munro" (a mountain in Scotland higher than 3000 feet).

Ben Lomond sits on the shores of Loch Lomond and at a height of 3,196 feet gives some good fantastic views of the loch and further afield to Glasgow itself.

The following are just from my iPhone as I've still to load my camera photos up but I will get them up soon.

We managed to complete it in 4 hours 40 minutes against a guide time of 5 hours which wasn't bad !

Looks epic. So satisfying climbing to the top of anything visible. I've got a goal to buy a dirt bike and ride to the top of a local glen one day. Not the same as walking but still

Was a very warm day, probably 18 or 19 at the bottom but it was very windy and cold at the top. Still managed to get sun burnt though!

Anyone else walked up this little hill. I’m up this way in a few weeks with wife and dog and fancy a walk.

Just wondering how much is usually covered in snow at this time of year (that’s if there isn’t a nation wide snowstorm before then).
