Back in a Clio... (182 this time!)



  Meg R26 + Mk4 GTTDI
So after struggling to decide on a car with around 5k as a budget (looking at 197s, rough MK5 GTI's, Leon FR TFSI) I then decided to save a bit of money and go in the hunt of a 182. Inevitable really. Have a really soft spot for them with a severe case of first car love. Few of you will remember it as I had only passed my test 3 days before having a fight with a van :(

Was after one of these for ageeeeeeees and got an absolute minter (For Sale btw):

Spec:

Arctic Blue FF 182
63k miles
FSH inc Belts
Standard bar KTec Coilovers

Plans:

Steering wheel retrim
Wheel refurb (maybe Nissan Graphite Grey which is darker than standard)
Replace gear stick gator
Carbon wrap dash strips, gear knob insert and steering wheel insert
Replace climate control unit (symbols on buttons worn off)
Clean the driver side seat belt (silver belts and fake tan don't go well together - previous owner, not me!)
Full detail and a couple of tiny dents removed
Maybe replace splitter with Fabia one which doesn't have a join in the middle
Do something with the exhaust surrounds to bring them back to black
Lower it a tiny bit at the rear and get the front to match
Full geometry set up
Janspeed Sport Exhaust (eventually)
RS Tuner
ITG (or similar panel filter)
Possibly remove the F1 stickers although they look sort of OEM so they might stay.

I'll also be keeping an eye out for some suitable 15" wheels as I plan to do my first trackday at Kirkistown at some stage this year!

Knocking when turning at slow speeds points towards top mounts, yea?

Anyone got part numbers/links?
