Anyone downloading Windows 7 Beta tomorrow? Legally!

From what I read earlier, you can extend the time scale on the beta with the same method that was used for Vista... meaning you can use it for 120 days, I'm not sure how acurate this is though.

Also, my download from Mark P's link has all of a sudden completed, very random. I'm sucpisious!! It's saying it's completed, but the ISO image is only 270MB... is that correct? Don't really fancy wasting a DVD lol

Installed.. quite impress so far, some things I have come across i've immediately thought were brilliant changes. Like Screen Resolution just a couple of clicks away on the Desktop instead of via Personalize > Display Settings for instance.

When your setting up a classroom of computers and all of them default to 800x600 but they need to be 1280x1024 for e.g... quick access to screen res. comes in real handy. It's a bit long winded at the moment.

Agree with the network center though, although i'm used to it now

Just got this now (32bit) with a Key and the updated patch to remove the watermark, the time trial and the bit which sends data back to MS.

Just need to find my spare hard drive now!

Have had this installed for eight days now but need a key!

On this page it's greyed out and I can't click on 'Keys' any ideas!?

I'm guessing it's just because they've taken the download down for now but just wondering if it's something else...

I have Vista and it looks the same but likely with bugs. GREAT!!

How do you know until you've tried? I've been using 7 as my main OS since the first pre-beta came out and it's been really good. A lot faster than Vista, never crashed, and some really neat features that I'm getting used to! Only downer was had to manually locate audio and visual drivers but now I have them I'm all sorted

Heres a screenshot of the first programme Im using, I cant hit the next button, theres no options to select a recorder?!

If you have Nero installed, you should be able to just double-click on the ISO file and Nero will open up and sort everything out for you aslong as you have a blank DVD in your drive

Oh I see.. Right-Click on the ISO and click Open With then select Nero Burning Rom then

If not then it is either Nero playing silly buggers or the ISO is corrupt I believe.

Could try http://www.ntfs.com/iso-burning.htm I have used that prog before with good results, or 120% Alcohol

I cant get the install to work. Ive added the iso to a dvd, I boot my pc from it, and I sit and wait on the windows 7 'wallpaper looking' screen' for the language options to appear. Its not the disk, becuase it works on my Dad's PC. Any ideas what could be stopping it from running properly?

Daemon Tools is the first none worker I have found . Also had a few video adaptor issues. Now back on Vista.

First impressions it was looking good and seemed very responsive.

Nvidia drivers work, Creative X-Fi drivers work, COD:WaW plays fine.
