Well after taking dogs abuse for fitting the Mk 2 Clio 16V / R19 PH2 wheels to my trophy i decided this year it was time get something that was still cheap and a little better and local.

So as the other half was away out at work tonight and i was off i decided to get these hidden out her way as I'm currently not allowed to spend anything on the car until after xmas

Got these into the car, Down the road and then into the garden shed.
They are not everyones cup of tea but as winter wheels go i think they will be ok, Just needing to get some tyres.

I think the trophy looks good in the picture, Marc.

The wheels serve an ideal purpose without looking crap imo!

I still fail to see why you've taken a set of wheels worth about £400 off your car for winter?

Like a bazingamillion times better than those terrible mk1 things.

I still love Willy wheels on the 1*2s. Not so much the Trophy as they don't suit amy other wheel!

It was either these or 182 wheels and as these came from Callums Flamer and its 10min along the road it was quick, easy and rather cheap

Turini's are a fecking pain to keep clean during winter so don't blame you just for that reason.

The roads have been wet & greasy, They have also had salt down already and i really wanted to get the wheels off and cleaned but yet still have the car on the road. The 172 wheels do have marks and scrapes and could do with a refurb but I'm not going to bother as they are just for the winter.

172 alloys are f**king awful even worse than the mk1 ones IMO.

Also why park your cars in a car park when you have a massive drive?

Cause i can :approve:
I'm not trying to be a clever c*nt I'm just genuinely intrigued. Why not just refurb them after winter? Same cost, yet you've not made your car look sh*t for 3/4 months...

LOL and yet you decide to fight a disabled person over parking rights and risk your cars getting damaged.

Cause its a hassle pulling cars in and out all the time.
I choose to drive the clio for the moment. The roads on the outskirts of Edinburgh are utter rubbish and are already covered in salt and have been wet for weeks.

I also have the puma outside the house and my dads honda.

Bla bla bla... Martins wheels?

Nope, Callums wheels. He bought a flamer with these on and then got cheap Turini's so i bought these.

And it's not hassle to play musical cars in a car park?

Nice to see your choosing to be a c**t by getting involved in something which doesn't concern you.

I'll buy your Vega's off you?

Hmmmm I will PM you ;)

My cars have not moved and i can be a c**t all i want. If my cars are Tax'd Insured and MOT'd i can park in any f**king space i like within the law and i choose to park in that one.

But that's not your house Marc, maybe you should clear that up. The car park is at your house and that's why you park there, those pics are from miles away aren't they?

I liked the mk1 alloys. Something different. They are only winter wheels and are only there to serve a purpose. Better tyres for cold weather/ snow driving and to protect your summer tyres/ alloys from the elements. I like the 172 alloys also :)

This is correct John.

Assumption is the mother of all f**k ups.

My shed / garage is iess than 1/4 of a mile away from my house and where the clio is pictured in the very first picture is my parent-in-laws house. (where the shed/garage also is)
I have never once said that i live there but i do keep my cars there and i am there almost everyday.

I park my car outside my own house every day / night and here it is

My house with the blue cross on it and the parking spaces which you can see.

Do I spy a CarCoon? :p

Yeah the Escort is kept in the carcoon almost the whole year.
Amazing bit of kit.

Im going to more than likely be putting winter tyres on the 172 alloys so they will be kept for each winter.
The MK1 clio 16V alloys have 2x Prada Spec 2 tyres and 2x budgets.

Another w@nk thread.. As per 'dirty clios' thread when i asked about the Trophy.. You'd previously written in another thread that it was off the road for winter, why bother ?

Enough w**k threads across a large amount of forums but I'm guessing thats the way the internet works.

The car needs some work and I'm going to be adding bits to it and its going up to my work for a sunday afternoon cleaning session.

When the snow comes and its 6inches deep then yes it will 100% be going off the road.

Both sets of wheels are hideous, 172 standards possibly slightly less so.
When you can get the likes of TD pro race 1.2s or OZ F1s of the bay for around £100 i really don't understand why you keep insisting on being 'different'.
