Alarm making a weird ticking noise

This just started today. Sometimes unlocking the car stops it, sometimes it doesn't. Anyone seen this before?

I kinda just want to disable the whole alarm. I don't really need it

Dodgy earth or connection somewhere?

Well when I started the car the alarm sounded and wouldn't go off. Even with the key out it changed from the ticking above to beeping. I tried to get to the sounder behind the scuttle but I wasn't at home so had limited tools. Then I looked under the passenger side dash and found a loom with the alarm LED plugged in to it. I found the connector below, which I guessed was the alarm/car interface. Bingo! No more alarm noises what so ever and everything works as it should. ?

Does anyone know if unplugging this would mess with anything else on the car??

My siren is randomly sounding all times of the day. I dont really care if i have no alarm, i just dont want it to mess with anything else...


cutting the siren at the alarm and joing it together??

or just cutting the wires to it...?

Anyone have some ideas?
