additional grounding

Dear all,

Has anyone adds more grounding cables to major components of the engine?
transmission ground, block ground, alternator ground, ignition ground...etc

Having a constant ground will help eliminate power loss, thus improving overall performance of components.

Ive heard a bit about this subject and seen some kits for japanese cars on a couple of websites (cant recall them at the mo) but it hasnt seem to have caught on in Europe.

Anyone else looked into this? BenR maybe?

one of the 8v Clio 1.4L did about 7 grounding points, typical grounding points

1. Engine Block
2. Throttle body/ intake manifold
3. Fuse Box
4. Horn
5. Alarm
6. alternator

wat he feels
- lighter acceleration, engine
- Louder Stereo
- More willing to rev
- less lag
- Power comes faster

will be doing on my Clio II 1.4L 16v tomorrow...hope to get some better effects too.

Cheers,

Why bother adding extra grounds to the horn and alarm? Not exactly gonna increase the performance of the car, in a speed sense anyhow. Althought this does sound like an interesting idea and worthy of some research.

it wont ever release any power, just make it more reliable. ANd if your one grounding point is already coroded, then it will lessen the resistance, and help realease some of the stain when everythig is ON

Ben,

Why wouldnt it realese any extra power? If youve got a poor ground then wouldnt your spark plugs not perform to their best? I realise the difference would be very small, even unoticeable, but surely youd be able to measure it.
