550D gone mental

  MK7 GTD & Mini GP
Hi,

I've got a 550D and whilst I was at a clients yesterday the photographs went from being fine with good white balance, to having a orange cast over them all of sudden.

I cant remember pressing any buttons, the white balance is set to auto (which it always it) and every shot now seems to be orangey/warm.

Any ideas whats caused this to happen and how to fix it?

Thanks

Try resetting all settings to standard? If you shoot in RAW, do you still have the same cast?

Yeah, it does it in RAW and standard .JPEG modes.

I have tried resetting but no joy!

Have you tried turning it off and on again ?

Try changing the WB to something else, like Tungsten which is pretty cool IIRC?, and if you're still getting a warm orange glow, it needs some TLC from Canon perhaps !

Does it happen with different lenses.

A lens thats fogged up - gone from hot/cold too fast can produce an orange cast.
