4/5 quiet beeps when I unlock and open car door?!

The last 2 or 3 times when I'm about to get in my car, there are 4 or 5 quiet beeps.
They stop and there are no lights on the dash or problems starting the car

Anyone know what it is?

i sometimes get 4 bleeps, not really taken any notice but i think its the alarm?? ie 4 bleeps = boot opened etc, never heard the alarm go off though so i could be wrong.

Thanks for the links - however have things changed for the Mk3 ie 197 & 200s?
