2nd car just for track days policy

Hi Guys,

I have taken my ph1 172 off the road to convert into a road legal track car.

Who is best to insure it as a 2nd car just to drive to track days and back?

Limited mileage aint a problem and i have over 9 years no claims but used on my main car.

If its road legal and you will be driving it to and from track days then you haven't 'taken it off the road' at all. Its exactly the same as any other road car, so you just need a standard road policy and set a low annual mileage. No need for any sort of specialist insurer, just find the cheapest policy that includes cover for your mods.

I mean it is off the road just now to get worked on!

When its off the road, SORN it and you don't need insurance.

When you Tax it again just get the cheapest normal road policy from wherever.
