right i have an 02 plate 1.2 clio and need a new key for it, i still have the actual metal key bit but the housing/ transponder is smashed. i understand that i can have the immobilizer reprogrammed to accept another key i.e. one from a breakers yard and swap the key bit from the old key right? saving me a load of money or am i better off just buying a new key from either an auto locksmith or renault themselves?
