Does any one know why my 172 mk2 makes a strange sort of knoking thudding noise when I put it in 1st gear. Its ok if I wait 2 secs then put it in gear. My local renault dealer tells me its normal but do I trust them. Thanks for the help with the starting probs its in today so hopefully they will change the fly wheel sensor and not the fuel pump again.
